A room with two beautiful arched windows casting light to reveal the crumbling plaster and walls and peeling paint. shadows and mysterious darkness add a dark edge to the picture but i can't help but feel there is so much beauty in decay and the aged patina of these weathered walls.
This was discovered inside building number 136 of an abandoned asylum complex in New York State.
This image was produced with 4 exposures taken as the camera was on a tripod. Each exposure captured the shadows and highlights and were then blended together in professional editing software to expose all areas of the high contrast scene. The technical term for this is High Dynamic Range, or HDR
