Artist's Description
A classic Tuscan landscape where the tall almost black cypress trees appear to be marching like soldiers up the winding dirt road toward the villa in the distance! This villa is of burnt sienna and is ensconced by a cozy garden and lush trees (of dark, mid and light greens). In the foreground we are stuck by the appearance of a vivid array of pink wild roses which seem to appear almost overnight as they are so fresh and alive! The hills are golden with wild flowers, creating a dramatic interplay of many colours which are simultaneously harmonious.

Her subject a classic vision of landscape, Canadian artist Seonaid Ross creates works which enchant with their thick, sumptuous painterly textures.
