The Roseway sailboat docked in Fan Pier Marina in Boston, Massachusetts as the sun rises over the horizon on a quiet Sunday morning. Built at the John F. James & Sons Shipyard in Essex Massachusetts in 1925, ROSEWAY has had a varied and distinguished career. From 1925-41 she served in the famed fishing fleet which operated from Cape Ann , Massachusetts, and harvested the catch from the Grand and Georges Banks in the North Atlantic. From 1941-1973, ROSEWAY served as a Boston harbor pilot schooner, during which time she won honors for her service in WW II as a navigational aid to Allied vessels off of Boston harbor.
