This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

Windmills were common in the Midwest and Great Plains in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Farmers used windmills to mine groundwater for crop irrigation, livestock, and personal use. Windmills filled water tanks for steam locomotives. Indeed, windmills helped to transform the arid Great Plains into a breadbasket. The electrification of rural America in the first half of the last century eventually made the windmill an anachronism.

As an artist I have worked in most artist mediums, but specialize in clay, glass, print making and etchings. My first experience with photography was a class I had taken in college. My husband.got me back into photography, because I would go with him and help out on different photo shoots. Since then we joined a local photography club, and have been able to use my background in other forms of art to take the images from my head and transfer the thoughts into the finished prints in my gallery.
