This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

About Ed Einboden
As long as I can remember I have been working with my hands. I have spent years carving and turning wood, producing custom designed furniture and building/restoring wooden boats. Some time ago I watched an elderly woman sketching a scene of the Toronto Harbour. She was so focused on what she was doing and with so few tools she was producing a one of a kind work of art. I thought at the time I would like to be able to do something like that, to be able to create anywhere, anytime, be free with my craft. Keeping this in mind I began taking water colour courses both privately and at the Haliburton School of the Arts.
