Sunset. A poem by Ben Kiger
As the sun starts to hide its sunny face behind the purple mountain majesty. I long for another day that God may give me. Oh what beauty this day has brought. As the sun sets behind the trees with colors of red, yellow and malt, I get down on my knees to thank thee for another day just to be me.
About Ben Kiger
Ben Kiger, a naturalist, was born in Winston-Salem, N. C. and graduated from High Point University where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He also studied commercial art at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida and has had a number of years experience as an illustrator, commercial artist and teacher. He owned and operated an art gallery in downtown Greenville, S. C. for nine years. Ben paints in oils and watercolors to capture his innate feeling for nature and draws inspiration from the natural aspects of the land. He never tires searching for those vanishing reminders of the past that are characteristic of the Old South.
