The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

In 1720, Fray Antonio Margil de Jesús founded what became the best known of the Texas Missions, San José y San Miguel de Aguayo. The unique architecture of its church and the richness of its fields and pastures led visitors to comment on its beauty.
The present church of Mission San Jose in San Antonio, Texas, was begun in 1758. It was not completed until 1782 but became "the most beautiful church along the entire frontier of New Spain. Mission San José underwent a $2.2 million historically accurate renovation that was completed in the summer of 2011. Interior domes and walls were repainted to match the original colors and hues. Work also included restoration of the "retablo," or altar backdrop, which frames sacred statues of St. Michael the Archangel, for whom the mission is named, St. Francis, the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph.
