I was dogsitting Bailey and not enjoying driving in a big city. So, I walked two miles to the trolleys and found the right one to make my way to Fisherman's Wharf, having never been in the city all by myself. After walking the entire length of the Wharf, I loved finding this little boat on the beach near the Maritime Museum, which is an outdoor museum to take wonderful photos of ropes, pulleys, old sailing vessels, and rusted gadgets. It was sunset, ocean swimmers were finishing up their laps in San Francison Bay, and people were getting in it and having their picture taken... It was as if I had stepped back in time. It's my favorite piece of art I've ever done..
I have loved drawing and painting for as long as I remember. My mom recognized my love for art, so in the summertime, she would pack my lunch and drop me off with my art things and a camp chair in front of something worth painting. The first outing I remember was drawing Dwight D. Eisenhower’s birthplace. With this encouragement, I began my journey in looking for beauty and trying to record it. I love to paint boats, fruit, buildings, and water.
