This is my surreal edit of beautiful Santa Monica beach on a perfect day. In the "bubble" I have sea gulls, reflections, a couple walking on the beach and the Santa Monica Pier. The view is from Venice Beach looking north. Also see my oil paintings "Santa Monica" and "Santa Monica Bay Sunset."
I am a self-taught artist and have been painting in oils for many years. At the same time my photography has developed following the same principles of composition and color. Much of my work has a "save the environment" theme and my inspiration comes from nature and visions of light and color. My interest in art began in the 5th grade with a remarkable teacher who, along with all the other subjects, made time for art and music every day.
