This painting is called Sedona Mountains with Pears and Clover. The red rock of Sedona is the backdrop for the field of prickly pears and lavender colored clover. I first drew the art in pencil and then painted in watercolor. I then applied Indian ink in areas that I felt needed to be emphasized. . . . . . . . . . . . I have been drawing, painting, and crafting since I was a child. Living in Oregon where God provided color everywhere you look, along with rainy days to encourage a lot of indoor activites, I spent hours painting and drawing.
Now that I have entered the empty-nester stage of life, I am blessed with additional time to focus on art. Over the years I have found that I enjoy creating artwork with a single subject and infused with a lot of color. My style has been described as unique, colorful, and whimsical.
