Setting for Two by Jeff Burton. A bottle of wine and a couple of glasses combine to create this beautiful scene. The bottle of vintage Duckhorn Vineyards Merlot is ready to be opened with the wine opener placed at its base. The glasses, two of them, suggest the possibility of sharing the moment with another. We are also intrigued by the possibility of what is hidden inside the wooden wine box. Could there be another bottle? We might need some more glasses if there is.
Jeff Burton is a Peoria, IL based Fine Art Photographer, who seeks to capture moments that instill a sense of calm and wonderment with the world around us. His monochrome photography style emphasizes the rich texture and tones of his subjects which are often overlooked.
Jeff developed a passion for photography after purchasing a Yashica FX-103 SLR in the early 1980’s. Armed with his SLR and Tri-X Pan B/W film, Jeff fostered an appreciation and obsession with monochrome images. Today, Jeff uses a digital camera to capture images electronically rather than on black and white film and is enthralled with the unlimited possibilities afforded by today’s digital darkroom, which provides the perfect marriage of his professional career and his passion.
Jeff shares his love of photography with others teaching Lightroom classes and photography seminars. With over thirty years of experience as a software engineer and system architect, Jeff distills digital image technology into easy to understand topics.
