Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I love this print! Her dress is so pretty and victorian and I can daydream that this is me in another lifetime , contemplating life while visiting the sea

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. A big thank you for your talent & putting out there to buy your beautiful map!!!

Artist's Description
John Burroughs - "To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter; to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest or a wildflower in spring - these are some of the rewards of the simple life."
The third in my "Simple Life" series that began with "Gimme That Ol' Time Religion." This piece, "Shall We Gather at the River" takes its inspiration from the old revival hymn of the same name. The tent revival meeting and river baptism may not be as common as they were in the early years of the last century, but the faith that was at the root of such rituals is still a mainstay in many parts of this country, particularly what is often referred to as "the Bible belt."
While the painting is titled after another old Gospel hymn, I could more easily envision what it represents listening to this song from the delightful movie, "O Brother Where Art Thou?" I hope you'll...

Please see below for a "final note" she posted with a few of the last pieces she completed before passing away in November of 2015. "Being a part of this Fine Art America community has meant the world to me over the past years and I'd like to express my endless gratitude for all the support and encouragement you have given me so graciously. My one regret is that having lost the battle with leukemia, I have to let go of something so special to me. I won't say goodbye - just may your lives be blessed as you have blessed mine." I have a passion for the landscape of...
