Necrotic septicaemia of skin, light micrograph. Section from an amputated limb. Skin and extremity loss are particular problems seen in meningococcal septicaemia. The epidermis is completely necrotic with loss of cellular detail. Magnification: x 100 when printed at 10 centimetres wide. Human tissue.
