A natural landscape reflecting it's solitude in the river water. This painting is near the spot of another painting I did called "Safe Refuge" and part of the Grand River in Southern Ontario and once our natural swimming spot which has virtually stayed as pristine as it was years ago. I am fortunate to be able to paint images that have personal meaning to me and often use them as backgrounds. This painting won in a International Artist Magazine 2010 competition which fortunately became the reason that they asked me to submit more of my work culminating in an eight page article of my paintings, the process that I use, the paints I use and how I mix my pigments.
