A landscape image from the South Coyote Buttes of Arizona features a portion of the wonderful sandstone landscape. Here can be seen some of the landform features that have made this area so desirable to the explorer and the photographer alike. Deep sand protects it from the numbers of people that otherwise would come to visit this natural area. Permits are issued with only 10 individuals, not parties/busloads who might otherwise attempt the journey. Only four whheel drive vehicles can consider making this trip and even then many are marooned with a hefty fee to pay the tow truck in this remote desert. Come prepared and you will do fine and experience the South Coyotte Buttes as you hike and explore throughout its beauty.
