About the Image

Southslope Emmett Valley by Robert Bales

Went out early in the morning to beat the heat for a geocache and we found the cache on this overlook of the Emmett Valley. The southslope use to be the main fruit producing area of the valley, but now as you can see it has changed to mostly houses with a few orchards still left. About the Artist - Robert Bales

Robert Bales

I am a retired teacher, coach and athletic director. While my wife, Judy, and I were teaching she had a photo studio, and I had a dark room where I did black and white and color. Some was for the studio while most of it was just a hobby. When we retired in 2000, we sold our house in Eastern Washington and moved onto our boat, Last Class, and our motorhome. We sold Last Class a few years ago and bought a small house in Yuma, Arizona and this year bought one in Emmett Idaho. Now we spend the summers in Emmett and the winters in Yuma. Over our 50 years of marriage, we have always had an interest in photography and still do. You may order any unframed photo from this website. Just email me at hay5bales@yahoo.com the name of the photo...
