LOL...you are unbelievable! Wonderful work, Daniel!!

Nightmare! Yes! I don't want to encourage you to produce more nightmares, but this is outstanding.

Spiders my biggest fear, prefer to face a lion haha. Yes, nightmare sums this work up perfectly, great piece, but have looked long quite long enough.

This is a perfect nightmare picture for the contest, I'm scared of spiders and hate to think I've swallowed any...I'll check and vote in the contest...

WOW!! This will prevent sleep for me for sure!! Wow again!! :^OO :^D jrr

Artist's Description

This is an image I did a few years back in October of 2010 that I found in my library and decided to add to my gallery here on FAA for a nightmare themed contest. I once heard the fact that you swallow several spiders throughout your lifetime while sleeping. I don't know if that's true, but both me and many of my friends have woken up with spider bites before. I don't relish the thought of having spiders climb all over me in the middle of the night. I guess that fact plus it being the Halloween season at the time got me in the mood to do this frightening scene.

About Daniel Eskridge

Daniel Eskridge

I am a forty-something living in the Metro-Atlanta area -- one of the few people who was actually born and raised here. I'm married and have two sons. By day, I am a senior software engineer. But, by night I am a 3D render artist. I have dual degrees from the University of Georgia, one in Computer Science, the other in Fine Art. So, it seems only natural that I attempt to combine the two by producing art using a computer. Plus, I find that it's a bit more practical than painting as it doesn't require all of the clean up, harsh chemicals, or expensive supplies. In fact, I have been a render artist since some of the first ray-tracing programs were made publicly available in the mid 80's. To follow me on facebook CLICK HERE. Check...
