Spotted by Debi Pople portrays an adorable cheetah that invades the canvas. Her expressive green eyes stare down the viewer. This watercolor painting incorporates resist techniques using salt and alcohol as well as some dry brushing for texture. Although youthful in style, this work is strong in composition and execution. Debi Starr, Formerly Debi Pople, a native Houstonian, has created art all of her life. Even as a young child, she knew she always wanted to be an artist. Debi attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Texas. She then went on to the prestigious School of The Art Institute of Chicago before graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Art Education degree from Houston Baptist University.
