This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

We were disappointed that the name of the artist is cut off and not showing in full. We feel the name of the artist is an important part of it and would love to have it rectified

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?

ORIGINAL WENT UP FOR SALE TODAY: There is no mark on the original.
This is dedicated to several special Vietnam veterans that have decorated my life AND to all the other veterans who have served our country who came home and were NOT honored. The pain inflicted by the Americans who did not welcome those vets home is inexcusable. The dark ruffle in the lower right has a musical note, symbolizing how the music and joy was removed from so many lives by that war. The roses symbolize the return to love that took so many years for so many. Notice that the American flag is distorted and spotted at lower left, symbolizing the blood shed for God and country and the distortion of that terrible contrived war....

My husband suffered hearing loss and was medi vaced home after 13 mos. over there but before coming home he suffered malaria and shrapnel wounds. There is still shrapnel in his body and he sets off security alarms. No compesation and though he earned several medal was never presented them. Our state Of Virginia did not present medals to war vets. He was told they could be purchased at the px. Thank you Windy for your support.

make the "failed marriages", not "filed".

Beautiful image and symbolism, Windy. You'll probably get a lot of stories in response. My cousin, a helicopter pilot who served multiple tours carrying the wounded and dead from the battle field, died of an OD after 2 filed marriages and alcoholism. My brother-in-law integrated back pretty well but died of complications of what we think was exposure to agent orange. All the medals in the world don't bring back those we loved and lost, and many are still fighting that war in very personal ways. Thank you for this image honoring their service.
Windy Mountain replied:
Hi Carol. Thank you for your nice comments. My ex died in 2009 from (I believe) agent orange related leiukemia. It was quite sudden I heard. Didn't have much warning and treatment didn't work. He never quite got over the trials of Nam and drank buckets of beer until he died. But a lovable fella just the same. My main character in my PTSD related Novel Series, The warning, is loosely patterned after him. Fictional name: Rocky Stoner. IF you'd like a copy of this image please private message me Carol. I can send as attachment as I offered in the side bar. Love and Peace, Windy Mountain

This is wonderful Windy, my husband is a viet nam vet 67 to 69. Not many appreciate the sacrifices they made or even those made by the families left behind, I had our second child while he was over there and our first was only 8 mos. old when he left.

Very colorful...well done, Windy!

Thank you. Still tears in my eyes. Windy
Windy Mountain replied:
My beloved fiance, a traumatized helicopter pilot died before we had a chance to be together. He is what stimulated this drawing but I've had so many heartbreaks because men couldn't love me because of that war. It's been a curse to be born in that generation. Most of the best men were ruined. Those who are still alive still live the pain.
