I was born and raised in the SE Missouri Ozark scenic river ways / Taum Sauk highest-elevation-in-the-state area here where I live. I sometimes style this "Brigadoon" in some of my paintings after the Hollywood musical by that name, since we too have a community name that technically is "not on the map" -- Arcadia Valley -- and the area has been compared with the Scottish Highlands of the Brigadoon story.
