Artist's Description

Based upon a 14th century Italian fresco, this icon by Joseph Malham shows the poverello of Assis, St. Francis and his beloved companion in faith St. Clare. Francis, in his love of poverty and filled with the radiance of God's love, is shown barefoot with the stigmata and holds the rule of the order he founded. St. Clare likewise is shown radiant with an internal sacred light and holds the palm frond rightly associated with her. This icon is also available as a limited edition print, matted to an overall size of 16"x20", hand signed and numbered by the artist for $150.00.
