St. Louis's Old Courthouse, site of the famous Dred Scott case, is part of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial and operated by the National Park Service. Here it is depicted as an photographic abstract of reflections in the many windows of a nearby skyscraper. The Federal style courthouse was completed in 1828. While I am often drawn to the unique symmetry of the square format for my work, I also work with vertical and horizontal ratios.
