Krasimir Tolev

Krasimir Tolev is originally from Straldzha, Bulgaria. Encouraged by his family he began studying arts when he was twelve years of age. In 1993 Krasimir graduated from a national school for folklore arts in the town of Kotel. In 1995 he moved to Plovdiv the second largest city in Bulgaria and started working as an assistant in photo studio. During the eight-year period Krasimir learned the craft of photography, and photography became part of his life. A relative newcomer to the United States, Krasimir moved to Louisville, Kentucky, in September 2003. In the fall of 2005 he was enrolled in the (ESL) program at Jefferson Community and Technical College. He arrived in the United States speaking no English. In 2008 Krasimir decided to...
