"Stippling of an Old Man" was an experiment in using pen and ink to create a portrait. The deep shadows and dark eyes required more time and concentration as I increased the number of ink dots and they required greater pressure. Transition from light to dark was challenging with the wrinkles on the face - but the final effect clearly shows the effects of time and age. His wise eyes and well-earned wrinkles create a face full of character and wisdom.
