as she sits in the sun concentrating on some simple embroidery.
She is wearing a big straw hat and 1861-1864 period clothing.
The lighting, crisp whites, and the bold colors just called out to be painted!
I placed a muted quilt behind her to focus our eyes on her
just as she is focused on her next stitch.
Everyone admires angels, but I like to think that sometimes we amaze the hell out of them.
