Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).
All metal prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with mounting hooks and nails.

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Artist's Description
I decided that #0879 "The Copse" needed a larger format so why not go all the way to 3x4 feet? I want to include the best elements of the sketch while preserving the spontaneity and energy of the small plein air work. The title is a pun on the word "son" since this is the large offspring of the sketch. Sometimes the kids get much larger than the parents. I also moved the glow of the sun into the upper right focal point which should be the destination of the viewer's eye.
Every time I start a big painting ... I think it is a good start... then I start to wonder what I was thinking ... and then I hope to like it again. I certainly went into the "what was I thinking stage" with this work as well. Emily Carr said similar things in her journals. In "Hundreds and Thousands" she expresses her anxiety and frustration with that stage of some of her paintings - particularly some of the large ones.
About Phil Chadwick
I paint outside - nothing between my eyes and the inspiration. That special connectivity gets into the pigments and you quickly realize that we are all stewards of the land, privileged to appreciate its beauty during our lifetime but responsible for leaving the environment better off for the future and all inhabitants...
