Sunflowers fresh from the fields and perfectly displayed in a "big ol' white pot". Wonderfully country, whimsical, and old-fashioned all at the same time. Imagine sitting on the back porch of a cabin, feet propped on a milk can ... ahem!... sun's going down ... bring in the sunflowers and dream of more lazy days of summer.
This pot was my grandmother's. She used it to water her irises. Displaying sunflowers in the antique pot is reminiscent of days long gone, a little bit sad, a lot whimsical. I love this piece. Bright and happy, yet nostalgic at the same time. Like Granny used to say: Everybody needs a big ol' pot.
