Artist's Description
Looking West over Hatteras Cabanas ... Cape Hatteras, North Carolina ...
This photo was taken from the upper floor of the Durant Station Condominiums on September 27, 2013. On September 18, 2003
Hurricane Isabel completely destroyed the Durant Station facility
that was at this spot.
The clouds in this picture and the choppy water was created
by a northeasterly storm that came through the area ... gives
you a sense of the power of Mother Nature and our fragility.
