I can't think of a better way I could have begun 2010 than seeing the sights in and around Dingle, Ireland. And to top it off, the day was sunny and full of incredible light like that in this scene from the streets of Dingle! Yes, this was how I spent January 1st, the start of the next era of my life pursuing my love of travel and visual art!

And I understood as soon as I saw Dingle why I had heard that so many artists settle in this little corner of Ireland. The village itself is lovely, and the landscapes are stunning. And that light... I've rarely seen anything like it. All the beautiful colors in those buildings, like the green and red in this one, were just beaming in the light.

Dingle's other claim to fame is that it supposedly has the most pubs per capita in Ireland. I can't say I was there long enough to verify that reputation, but it seemed likely from what I saw. How about you? Have you been to Dingle to test out the number of pubs or experienced the raw beauty...
