... Captured on the southeast
coast of south Florida
as evening sets in,
sunset colors tinge the sky
as the sun sets
on the opposite coast.
The evening light glows
golden on the fishing pier
and coarse sand.
This young boy hikes
along the coastline
watching the waves,
choosing his best spot
to ride a few of them
before dark..
The waves in the Atlantic Ocean
are small on this evening,
crashing to shore
in a cacophony
of splashing
as the distant seagulls cry,
waiting for bait-fish
from the many fishermen
