K'gari, formerly known as Fraser Island, off the coast of Queensland, Australia is a "World Heritage" listed region and is the world's largest sand island. According to my tour guide it is one of only two places in the world where planes are allowed to take off and land on the beach. There are no sealed roads and the beach is also used by 4wd cars and buses to traverse the island.

What a great shot and interesting place Linda. L/f
Linda Lees replied:
Thanks Brian! It's the first place that I've had to take a tour, I visited the area on my Harley and didn't fancy riding it on the sand roads. Must say I did enjoy it, the tours know all the best places and the info about them.
