During the winter season, Grand Teton National Park becomes a true winter wonderland with snow blanketing everything. Storms move in and out rapidly leaving behind a pristine covering of white, glittering snow. Most areas of the park are closed to tourists except for a short portion of the inner road leading to areas where the trails for cross country skiing begin. Being able to drive that road led to a very small residential area which presumably is used by the summer employees.
