He was a much respected leader but chose to live at MT Pirongia as a semi recluse.His Moko (Tatoo) is a description of his Iwi (Tribe) parents and grandparents. His skills and rank are intricately detailed and recorded in each mark. People feel his strength power and spiritual guidance still eminates to this day.
