Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

I was born an artist..... Painting, drawing and music have been my passions since childhood. I pursued my education, studying Illustration with marvelous instructors at School of Visual Arts, and the Arts Students League, which I am a lifetime member. I started M.S. Design Studio in the Flatiron district NYC in 1989 and Melinda's Window Advertising and Murals in 83 and have kept busy with a steady stream of clients ever since. The artfield has been an exciting and challenging one for me. My most recently completed project is The Windmill of Hoboken Wall of Fame mural" illustrating notable celebs as Sinatra's Rat Pack to NJ's Danny Aiello and Governor Christie. It was the memory of your red hair blowin in that wind and your eyes as emerald as this island . . . more than anything, Maureen. Well the fire in my red hair has faded and the green of my eyes is duller too. And now your old bones dont handle these northern gales they way they used to and I suspect your welcome is worn at many a dock where there used to be a lassie waitin. Now you finally be lookin for a place to call home. Is that it? . . . Well, the words that whistled past your ears that night were a babys comin and hes got your name on him, Darby ODea.
