sits on the edge
of the forest
on an autumn evening...
Captured in the western reaches
of North Carolina, part of the
Blue Ridge Smoky Mountains.
This farm is close to the border
of the tri-state area of Tennessee
and North Georgia,
near the Cherokee National Forest.
The barn is close to a century old,
it's red roof faded in the years
of sunshine and rain.
Beech trees stand tall
on the edge of the pasture,
their autumn leaves
already gathered
at their feet.
The maples are in full
red shades,
surrounded by the deep greens
of the tall pine trees...
