Willoughby Senior

WILLOUGHBY F. SENIOR: 10/15/16 - 02/04/84. Willoughby graduated from the National Academy School of Fine Art in New York City in two years, rather than the traditional four years. He was the author and illustrator of the book "Smoke Upon the Winds," published by Swallow Press, about his experiences over 25 years among the Hopi ("People of Peace"). One reviewer called him a "truly participatory observer." He also spent those years among his Navajo friends. Willoughby got his B.A. in Philosophy. He also had the equivalent of a Ph.D. he liked to call "in applied social ethics."
