The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Dave Clark Five, The Animals, Herman's Hermits and other bands brought a new sound to a young audience that was more than ready. It was a difficult time after the tragic loss of President JFK only months before in November of 1963. The rock bands from Britain brought with them not only a new sound, but also a new level of hope and optimism for many of us. Although The Beatles separated only several years later, their unique style and sound was recorded for future generations, so still today ... The Beat Goes On.
