In honor of Cezanne's birthday, I decided to try "one more time" with one of my photos taken at White Rock Lake, to work with his style. It's very difficult to master, and the rendering is much different than what Cezanne himself would have done, being a nature lover, I believe it captures the spirit of one of my favorite quotes from him "Painting from nature is not copying the object; it is realizing one's sensations."

My other favorite, is this one:
"Right now a moment is fleeting by! We must become that moment, make ourselves a sensitive recording plate. Give the image of what we actually see, forgetting everything that has been seen before our time." ~ Paul Cezanne (January 19, 1839 - October 22, 1906)

I began taking pictures in my early teens with my grandfather's old black & white box camera. I've always enjoyed photography and have mostly photographed landscapes, with a gravitation towards sunsets and sunrises. My dream is to hit the road for a month or two, and just chase sunsets. My camera is a Canon EOS Rebel T3 Digital SLR. I've recently begun working with digital renderings from my original photographs. Update May 2014: I have a new camera. I was overwhelmed when a friend gifted me a Canon 70D for my birthday.
