I did this piece in the year 1999 or 2000. Colored pencils on water color paper. I stumbled upon a picture in a magazine with this woman and her husky. About the same time I was reading Dare Devil from Marvel comics written and illustrated by David Mack. In that series David Mack created a character called Echo. Needless to say I was inspired by David Mack's creation and I wanted a character with a hand print on her face too. So here it is.

This is also one of many of my start of self teaching on doing photorealistic portraits using pencils and colored pencils.

Also this was one of my mother's favorite piece that I have done before she died of lung cancer.
