Love the painting and the rich colorful blues, reds, greens, & yellows! A nice addition to our cowboy/southwest decor vibe.

Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.
Artist's Description
This old wooden door bearing a large hourglass, I'm assuming symbolizing the passing of time, and a crescent moon (not sure what that symbolizes) stand between the living and the dead. This is a door to a crypt, within the Sleepy Hollow cemetery next to the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. It's a fascinating place to visit, and I actually enjoyed an evening there when I witnessed Master storyteller Jonathan Kruk offering a dramatic reading of Washington Irvings classic tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, featuring the Headless Horseman, Ichabod Crane, Brom Bones, and Katrina Van Tassel. I don't know who is buried behind this door, but the door is beautiful in and of itself.

Always fascinated by doors and windows; this one is very beautiful. And the treatment in monochrome just adds to the beauty of this.
