The Emerald Forest. This image is mostly straight out of the camera and it's an image I'm very proud of. The only adjust made was to brighten it up a bit as the exposure was originally darker due to the low light that this was captured uner.
The low light allowed for me to mount the camera on a tripod and set the shutter for a long exposure.
I loosened the vertical clamp so it was just tight enought to hold the camera still for about the fist 1-2 seconds. Then with a couple of seconds left in the exposure I moved the camera in a vertical movement that allowed for the blurred effect.
Onw of the reasons I like this is that it shows that clearly this is a forest but the blurred effects give the image a mysterious feel. I hjope you like...
Thank you for taking your time to visit my galleries. I'm a photographer that makes his home in Northern California. I love getting out shooting the outstanding scenery that this area has to offer. I may be in Yosemite one weekend and the Napa wine country the next. I try not to set limits on where, when or what I shoot.
I've been shooting photography now for roughly six years and am learning something new everytime I go out. If you see anything you like please leave a comment, I'll try my best to acknowledge it. If you have any suggestions please feel free to share them.
Eventually I plan on branching out to children and pets.
Please come back often as I am continously adding new work.
