I love to begin the weekend with a trip to our town's Farmer's Market. While the healthy come for the fresh assortment of fruits and vegetables, I come for the photographic opportunities.
Like this one. A multitude of jars covered this table. I love the shine on their silver lids and the bright colors of their contents. Pickles, jams, jellies, chutneys and salsas are just a few of the offerings I saw that morning.
I image the time it took to prepare all the food and then can it. I imagine all the time and hard work it took to grow it. And most of all, I like to imagine taking the time to eat it.
This would work great in a kitchen or restaurant that prides itself on serving healthy or organic foods.
“When you've been through a difficult situation, it changes you”, said artist, Karyn Robinson. Robinson is a breast cancer survivor and although she says she rarely thinks about it these days, she can’t deny it changed her as an artist.
“I see the world differently and I try to bring a sense of playfulness and optimism to my artwork. I see beauty in just about everything and I want to paint it all!”
A writer and television producer by profession, Robinson didn't discover painting until her cancer diagnosis. She found painting to be good therapy and the hours she spent with paint brush in hand rekindled her childhood passion for art.
