This is as good as my work gets as a portrait artist. The reason I can say that with all confidence is because this is my wife and daughter. The look on my daughters face tells the story of the nervous anticipation of a little girl right before she would walk down the aisle of the church spreading flowers as The Flower Girl. The drawing was an easy one for me because I already knew every detail of my beautiful little girls face. Her beautiful mother trying to reassure and keep her calm was a moment captured in time.
The drawing was so much easier than most portraits I have ever done. I was proud that I also was able to recreate the beautiful curls of my wives hair. This was one of the reasons I fell in love with her. Most portraits I do are presents for Birthdays, Christmas and Anniversaries. I usually have never met the people that I draw.
