This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

About Mirko Lamonaca
Born in Italy in 1976, Mirko Lamonaca lives and works in Bergamo, in northern Italy. In 1998 he publishes his first poems books, "La Lumaca". In 2004 he exposes his paintings for the first time in public. In 2007 he starts a collaboration with the Milan-based art gallery Wannabee. In 2008 he starts collaborations with Drapages Art Gallery in Brussels and Infantellina Gallery in Berlin. In 2009 he publishes "Spiccounvolo", the second books of poems. In 2010 the Italian publishing house Voras Edizioni publishes the first novel of Mirko Lamonaca, "Le Meduse di Travemnde" (The jellyfishes of Travemnde). In 2011, the second novel "Il colore delle nuvole basse" (The color of low clouds) is published. Personal Website:...
