About the Image

The Forth River Meets the Sea by Sarah King

When the dams overflow, the water rushes to the sea and merges with the salty waters of Bass Strait. The mouth of the river is the dumping ground of the Forest Industries destruction, pollution and the after-math of the clear felling and soil erosion. The history of these rivers are also lost as the government has cut the funding five years ago for the water watch groups to keep an eye on the quality pollution problems of the rivers in the whole of Tasmania. It there is no history documented, then there is no way of knowing the health of the river. Forest Industries must be accountable for the change in water quality and loss of Landscape.

About the Artist - Sarah King

Sarah King

This is my gallery, here on this web page and I have a house and studio full of art works that need to be sold. I also have my paintings and photographs on Sarah King painting, artist sight. http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/sarah-king.htm I hope to earn enough money to buy a glass kiln so I can continue my glass collection of the Gondwanaland species. I live in isolation near the mountains of Tasmania, cut my wood so I can heat my water and cook. I work in my studio at home. I am a multi-skilled artist often working with recycled and found materials. I live near Cradle Mountain, Tasmania, Australia, the little Island south of the eastern coast of Australia. I am inspired by the wonderful unique Gondwanaland Rainforest...
