Artist's Description

Atlantis, America's last Space Shuttle will blast into space on July 8th. When she returns a week or ten days later, and is retired, the United States will be forced to rely on Russian spacecraft to fly our astronauts to the International Space Station. My painting shows Atlantis against an American flag, heading into earty-orbit with the moon overhead and the earth below for the last time. The original has been donated to the Palm Bay Senior Center, Palm Bay Florida.
