I was very excited to discover this piece as it has several memorial sentiments on it and they are all beautiful. I got one that I can hang on the wall and it's a beautiful job. Very touching and the artist was great

The story of the raising of Lazarus has always been a favorite of mine. I love all the work of Bill McNichols, and this is different and quite meaningful to me.

Artist's Description
At Blaavand (meaning 'bluewater') on the west coast of Jutland four of the many World War Two German concrete bunkers have been given a new life by some creative genuis with the addition of plate-steel mule heads and tails being bolted to them. Now they resemble enormous mules or horses wading out into the North Sea. I photographed this at sunset in late autumn with the waves lapping about my feet. Inspired by a photo taken by fellow FAA photographer Wedigo Ferchland.
About Robert Lacy
I am an Australian freelance photographer and artist who has lived in Denmark since 1997. For all that, painting can still take you places the camera cannot and vice versa. Over the years I have sold art works and photographic prints in Australia, Denmark, England, Italy & USA. In 1993 I illustrated a children's book in Australia titled, 'I have been to...
