Kobe Bryant was one of the youngest players in history to enter the NBA. He was drafted at the age of 17 directly from Lower Marion High School in Pennsylvania. By the time he played his first game, he was 18 years old. Kobe showed his first signs of greatness during the 96-97 NBA Allstar Finals Slam Dunk Competition that he won, and The Rookie Challenge where he scored 31 points. Although he has 14 years in the NBA, and has long been regarded as the NBA's best player, he was only awarded the MVP once in his prolific career. This piece represents a proud moment in NBA history.
