"The Narrow Gate" was photographed at an old cemetery near Albuquerque, New Mexico by my husband, Neal Burgers. He carefully planned his composition in order to illustrate the Biblical Scripture found in Matthew 7: 13-14: "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Neal chose to give this image a vintage effect in keeping with the age of the cemetery and the antiquity of the Biblical cross.
