This is an alteration of the original photograph titled "Not My Will..." which was taken in The Lutheran Church of The Ascension in Savannah, Georgia. I cropped the photo, removed many of the lines of stained glass, used a textured filter and painted in a few areas. The halo shows a hint of the thorn of crowns to be placed on Jesus' head the following day. This scene portrays Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane praying to His Heavenly Father. It was there Judas betrayed him with a kiss. It was there where Peter, John and James fell asleep when Jesus had told them to stay awake and pray (notice the two men in the dark behind Jesus). It was in this garden where Jesus sweat drops of blood and it was there when Jesus said.." Father if it is possible let this cup pass from me. But, not my will but thine be done."

I have enjoyed taking photos since I was a little girl, but especially began learning about the skill and art of photography in college; however, as years went by I, like most of us, put the camera in the drawer and would pull it out only for special occasions. For the most part, photography has been a passion that I put on the shelf; but now I have the opportunity to share with others some of my favorite photos,while exploring creative and new styles in photography and digital art. I enjoy taking photos of just about anything...animals, nature, vistas, people, architecture, and landscapes. I love it all!
